This painting was inspired by the 1970’s song ‘Moondance’. I wanted to paint a canvas that had movement and was bursting with colour. I chose this song to paint along with as it makes me feel happy. Moondance is played mostly acoustic and was Van Morrison's most successful and definitive jazz composition. The painting is a visually exciting painting that exudes happiness but has also calm sections to rest the eye. This painting was made with structure acrylic paint and coloured washes. It has a textured surface with various finishes, patterns and marks.
This painting is ready to hang with a wire across the back.
It is signed on the front and has a signed certificate of authenticity.
