Island Vibes

Island Vibes is about Stradbroke Island or Minjerribah the traditional Aboriginal name for the island. Straddie as it is colloquially called lies within Moreton Bay and is the second largest sand island in the world.

Straddie is a veritable treasure trove of rare and endangered land and sea creatures and their habitat. Humpback whales migrate along the coast and the bottlenose dolphin population, centred around Point Lookout, is one of the largest congregations of bottlenose dolphins in the world!

It’s one of the most important feeding areas for threatened marine turtles along Australia’s east coast and 6 of the world’s 7 species of marine turtles!

Island Vibes is about the simple pleasures of Stradbroke Island. Stradbroke Island has become a mecca for those in search of sunny skies and relaxation and for those who want to ride the clean waves off the spectacular coastline. The holiday oasis of Straddie is one of Australia's most desirable holiday destinations. Its proximity to sand, sea and nature combined with its laid back charm make it the perfect place for a quick getaway or long, lazy holiday.
