Rugby Rumble
‘Rugby Rumble’ is a visual story about Rugby Union, commonly known simply as rugby. Rugby originated in England in the first half of the 19th century.
In ‘Rugby Rumble’ each image symbolises an aspect of Rugby. In its most common form, the game is using an oval-shaped ball on a rectangular field called a pitch. Ballymore Stadium is the headquarter of Queensland Rugby Union and the historic home ground of the Queensland Reds. The Bledisloe Cup is an annual rugby union competition between the national teams of Australia and New Zealand that has been contested since the 1930s. For the Wallabies, the singing of Waltzing Matilda before the game gave the Wallabies time to gather on the field and talk for the last time about the game to come. For the players, it is important to have the right gear and stay well hydrated for optimal performance. A scrum is a way of restarting the game safely and fairly after a minor infringement.
