Cooktown Orchid

The Cooktown Orchid is the official floral emblem of Queensland since 19 November 1959. 

What would a poet have to say about the relationship between the Cooktown Orchid and the Queensland character? I would like to think that a poet would begin with the plant's aerial habitat: it lives in rainforest trees, up in the canopy (it is an epiphyte), closer to the warm sun, hiding up high the flowers
