Deconstructed Wine
Deconstructed Wine is a painting where wine growers, wine merchants, wine lovers and wine connoisseurs can find their own story with wine. There are many perspectives one can have of wine. This is influenced by cultural beliefs, personal experiences and one’s environment. They can be quite different from one person to another.
It’s a long way from the grapevine into the barrel. The winegrower needs great skills and luck with the weather to produce the perfect grapes. Wine making is largely a natural process. But to get a great wine the skills and experience of the winemaker makes all the difference.
It needs time to savor a great wine and discover its full complexity. As it takes time to discover a good painting to reveal all its secrets.
For some people wine is an accompaniment to a good meal, for some it’s part of socialising and for some it’s a beautiful science. This is often influenced by cultural background and environment. The consequence of too much is the same though: hangover.
"Wine is sunlight, held together by water" - Galileo Galilei.
