This portrait of Gerhard the Geneticist shows his likeness but also tells the story of his origins, professional highlights, passions and loves.  Professionally he has worked on an international project sequencing the pig genome and he has two patents. His work led him to emigrate with his family from Germany to Australia for a short stint to pursue his career. 20 years later the family is still here and the children have grown up. He still plays his guitar and he has found a new passion in fly-fishing. This is how this painting tells the story of his professional and his private life.
