Head of the River

‘Head of the River’ is a visual story about rowing and the title refers to rowing regattas.

In ‘Head of the River’ each image symbolises an aspect of rowing. Equipment such as the oars has changed in materials and shape as scientific knowledge has found its way into rowing.

Before the glory, lots of coaching and training on land and in the water has to be completed. It is important to be well prepared, especially in Queensland's summer. This all culminates in the ‘Head of the River competition when every team hopes that their bow ball is first over the finishing line.
